"Teaching Purpose...Empowering Families...Changing Lives"
New Destiny Center Inc. (NDC) was founded in 2007 as a non-profit, 501c3 organization. Having previous experience working with at-risk children and a background in law enforcement, the founder was inspired to do something in his hometown to make a difference. So, he and his wife reached out to other members of the community for help and five years later New Destiny Center opened the doors to it's residential care program "Operation New Start" in April of 2012. The program served thousands of boys from counties across the state of South Carolina, providing them with a safe, structured environment, services to get on the right track, reuniting them with family or connecting them with new forever families.
2019 -Organizational restructure, realignment of mission, phased out the residential program and created "Beyond the Walls" to focus on community-based outreach services and programs that promote youth and family empowerment, to reach a larger population of youth and families.
2020- Initiated the "Senior Meals Program" which delivered hot, homemade dinner meals to the doors of homebound senior citizens in the community.
2021-2023- Collaborated with community partners to provide mentoring, education, school supplies, referral and consultant services
2024- Launch of "Servants First Shared Housing Program"

We conduct a variety of outreach initiatives by identifying certain specific needs in our community and providing services to the people who need it most.
Many of today's youth have experienced some type of physical or emotional abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment which often leads to disappointment, isolation, and issues with trust. We take pride in being positive role models, and developing lasting mentoring relationships with youth.
Our workshops focus on providing tools and resources to help families recognize and deal with issues like:
· Anger Management · Bullying
· Communication ·Family Issues
· Poor Educational Achievement / Truancy
· Psychological distress/Trauma
· Substance Abuse/Misuse
During our summits participants engage in skills building in personal care, daily and independent living, healthy meal preparation, budgeting and money management, and other areas to assist them in making healthy choices and good decisions.
They also participate in fun, engaging activities with peers to help develop critical thinking, social and communication skills, while building new friendships.
