"Teaching Purpose...Empowering Families...Changing Lives"
New Destiny Center Inc. (NDC) was founded in 2007 as a non-profit, 501c3 organization. Having previous experience working with at-risk children and a background in law enforcement, the founder was inspired to do something in his hometown to make a difference. So, he and his wife reached out to other members of the community for help and five years later New Destiny Center opened the doors to it's residential care program "Operation New Start" in April of 2012. The program served thousands of boys from counties across the state of South Carolina, providing them with a safe, structured environment, services to get on the right track, reuniting them with family and connecting them with new forever families.
2019 -Organization restructured, realigned mission, phased out the residential program and created "Beyond the Walls" to focus on community-based outreach services and programs that promote youth and family empowerment, to reach a larger population of families.
2020- Initiated the "Senior Meals Program" - prepared and delivered hot, homemade dinner meals to the doors of homebound senior citizens in the community.
2021-2023- Collaborated with community partners to provide mentoring, education, school supplies, referral and consultant services
2024- Launch of "Servants First" Shared Housing Program

We conduct a variety of outreach initiatives by identifying certain specific needs in our community and providing services to the people who need it most.
Many of today's youth have experienced some type of physical or emotional abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment which often leads to disappointment, isolation, and issues with trust. We take pride in being positive role models, and developing lasting mentoring relationships with youth.
Our workshops equip adults with essential skills to navigate challenges such as anger management, effective communication, family dynamics, educational barriers, mental health, and substance abuse. Through practical tools and resources, participants develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and work toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Our goal is to empower individuals to make informed decisions and build a stronger foundation for their future.
Participants develop essential life skills, including personal care, daily and independent living, healthy meal preparation, budgeting, and financial management. These skills empower them to make informed decisions and maintain a stable, self-sufficient lifestyle.
Additionally, participants engage in social activities designed to strengthen communication skills, foster meaningful relationships, and build a supportive community network.
